It definitely doesn't feel like fall yet in LA (It's still in the 100s here!), but I'm hoping that fall will peek its head around soon (please!!). I love this season because it's the start of the holiday season, the colors are gorgeous, the weather is my favorite and it has its own unique vibe to it.

One of the most awesome and unique things about fall is its color palette. Of course, this is reflected in nature itself (hello pretty foliage!). It's also reflected in decor, fashion and even Starbucks drinks. Fall is full of amazing rich colors and it's a great palette to have in your workspace. SO, how do you go about picking from all the wonderful colors this great season has to offer, let alone pulling all of the decor together for a fall inspired space?

1. Determine a vibe/mood/scheme

Fall doesn't just have changing leaves, it has so many other events and feelings associated with it, too. That's why the first thing on your list is to pick what vibe and feel you want your fall-inspired workspace to give off. Do you want it to be full of oranges, purples, and greens to reflect the trees? Do you want to stick to earthy beiges and yellows for a harvest-inspired feel? Or will you go with black walls and other rich colors for a Halloween-like vibe? Once you determine what you want your workspace to feel like, you can starting figuring out what you want it to look like.

2. Go on a color adventure

After you've decided on the vibe you want for your space, it's time to get serious about picking colors. I would suggest selecting a main color first and then picking accent colors that go with it. There are plenty of places from which to draw inspiration and even view pre-made palettes. Pinterest is always a good source and so is DeGraeve.com, a site that lets you upload an image and it will give you a palette to match.

And don't feel pressured to make a decision right away. When designing any room, take your time with it! You'll have to live in it and love it once it's done. Try as many color combinations until you find your perfect fall inspiration!

3. Use natural inspiration

When you think of fall, often the first things that come to mind are likely nature related. So use these as inspiration when you're thinking about decor. Let's say you went for a changing-leaves vibe. You should bring leaf motifs into your decor. Whether it be the wallpaper, some accent pieces or office accessories, multi-colored leaves should be in there.

For a harvest-themed workspace, have some fake gourds and pumpkins on your surfaces. Fall is about the changing scenery around you, so don't be afraid to bring nature inside. But keep it classy: you can save all of the adorable, over-the-top decorating for the actual holidays. Finally, be mindful of what your actual fall surroundings look like. LA's fall will look much different than a New York's fall, for example.

What is your favorite fall inspiration? How would you bring it into your workspace?
