Last fall, turnstone spearheaded a campaign to name the Best Young Companies to Work For in the United States. Individuals nominating these budding superstar businesses had only to stay within the following guideline: companies could not be more than ten years old with fewer than 100 team members. But beside this one commonality, winners ranged from those offering web design to office supplies to app creators promising parking assistance.

Interestingly, despite the breadth of fields represented, we discovered a handful of striking similarities about how each approached their business and the talent they hoped to garner. Here's what we learned:
